Tampa, Fla. (WFLA) – ‘Golden Girls’ star Betty White suffered a stroke a few days before her death, according to several reports.

Death Certificate obtained by the TMZ listed White’s cause of death as a cerebrovascular accident, commonly known as a stroke. White passed away on December 31st at the age of 99.

When there is a cerebrovascular accident, the lack of blood to the brain will damage a part of this organ. Blood clots and broken blood vessels in the brain often contribute to stroke.

White’s death certificate states that she suffered a stroke six days before her death. According to TMZ, White was alert and coherent following the stroke, and she died peacefully in her sleep at home.

An unnamed source told People, “It was a mild stroke. She died peacefully in her sleep.”

Jeff Witjas, friend and agent of the actress, has previously voiced his objection statement on social networks that White died from a side effect of the COVID-19 vaccine booster she received on December 28.

Witjas told People: “People are saying her death was related to a booster shot three days earlier but that’s not true. “She died of natural causes. Her death shouldn’t be politicized – it’s not the life she lived.” Betty White suffered a stroke 6 days before her death, reports say
