After not playing a second all season, Ben Simmons will look to make his debut in the postseason and help the Nets avoid elimination.
Simmons initially sat out with the 76ers citing mental health issues and is now racing against time with the Nets to recover from an L-4 herniated disc in his lower back.
And if Simmons wins that race — he’s sidelined from Saturday’s Game 3 against the Celtics at the Barclays Center but hopes to play Game 4 two nights later — his reward will be up against the NBA’s hottest team and the league’s fiercest defense even choked Kevin Durant. He’ll do it after nearly a year out and – if the Nets lose on Saturday – in an elimination game.
