Beluga whale sneaks up on child in viral video

Beluga whales love to scare children, and one of them didn’t hesitate to sneak up on one of the children in an aquarium.

In the video, two children can be seen admiring the whales and watching them swim by. But suddenly they get a visit from one of the beluga whales and things don’t go as planned. As soon as the child’s eyes meet the whale, it opens its mouth wide, almost as if it were letting out a scream.

The little child couldn’t help it and burst into tears. The beluga whale waited patiently and watched the child cry.

Social media users couldn’t contain their laughter

People on social media had a lot of fun watching the video and decided to crack the jokes themselves, with one writing: “He’s tired of these damn kids banging on his tank all day.” Another wrote: “Him even gave the ‘and I’ll do it again’ look at the end.”

“He admires his work afterwards,” another person wrote. “He definitely did that to porpoises,” another thought. “He looked so proud afterwards,” wrote another.

“The way he followed up afterward to make sure the job was completed,” another comment said. “The way he pulled his head up with confidence after scaring the kids,” joked another.

These whales often scare those around them

This isn’t the first time a video of a beluga whale caring for a child has gone viral. In one (n interviewexplained Dr. Lori Marino, a beluga behavior specialist at the Kimmela Center, said her behavior was a sign of aggression.

He said: “While belugas and other whales in the wild make the same aggressive movements (opening their mouths etc.), in my opinion this is clearly due to the fact that these whales are crammed together in this tank and have nowhere to go around the screaming children to escape those poking at the glass.”
