BBC Breakfast presenter confirmed as ‘very rude’ crew member engaged in brutal costume-stroking behavior

A BBC Breakfast presenter has been injured after a ‘very rude’ crew member violently stroked her outfit.
Thursday’s edition of BBC show saw Katherine Downes perform a sports segment live from the Winter Olympics in Beijing.
Katherine was wrapped up for the cold in a black jacket, neon gloves and a bobble hat with cream, beige and tan stripes.
After discussing the GB men’s upcoming tetanus semi-final, co-anchor Naga Munchetty talked to Katherine about her hats.
She said: “Amazing bobble hat! How many have you got, all left [presenters] wear a cap? “
Katherine replied, “Well, I went to PyeongChang four years ago with two caps, and it was a mistake. Because it turns out you’re on TV every day and you want a little variety!
“So I brought seven bobble hats with me when I went to Beijing. And you know what – I love them!”
However, she added: “But my sound man here, Graham, he is very rude about my bobble hat.
“He said it made me look like my head was the shape of a mushroom. But I love them, it’s freezing out here!”
Naga co-host John Kay reassured Katherine, telling her, “Actually, I’m a fan of that show!
“And unlike [the others] Wouldn’t you combine bobble hats and scarves? It’s fun – just love it with the bobble hat. “
But Naga joked: “Raise your game, Miss Downes – raise your game!”
BBC Breakfast airs weekdays at 6am on BBC One.
