Battlefield 2042 fans ask for refunds as “false promotion” petition hits 50,000 signatures

The Battlefield 2042 saga continues on a downward spiral as a petition against the game is gaining serious momentum. Players believe EA created “a mockery against every customer who purchased this video game for US$70 (USD) due to EA’s false advertising.”

It’s been three months since the game came out and it’s pretty clear what players and fans think of Battlefield 2042. It number of players has dropped significantly on Steam, with most players Request a refund.

While revisions were needed for the game’s tough launch, EA and DICE recently announced that Battlefield 1’s Season 1 launch has been considerable delay. This is despite EA’s rather obvious and damning admission that sales and reception for Battlefield 2042 are no scratches.

Battlefield 2042 has been rife with problems like this since launch.

Battlefield 2042 is an “unfinished release”

This is the first of many scathing passages that refer to EA’s latest Battlefield release as “poorly made” and “unplayable.”

It went on to say: “Even today, Battlefield 2042 has bugs that dramatically alter the in-game experience to the point that it is considered an incomplete release by many community members.
In fact, Battlefield 2042 is so poorly made that even Steam, a very reputable provider of PC video games, allows customers to get full refunds.”

Despite all the promising footage and trailers, Battlefield 2042 certainly didn’t hit the hype.

The petition was started in early January 2022 and it took three weeks to reach 500 signatures. Word of mouth apparently went viral and signatures subsequently became widespread 50,000 signatures just next week, keep adding more.

It will be 60,000 by the end of February 9, 2022, with absolutely no sign of stopping.

It concluded by saying: “The gaming community should not tolerate this abuse and bullying from billion-dollar corporations who create incomplete games and false advertising.” More and more names are added to the petition by the hour, and eventually someone will have to sit up and take notice.
