Battle Chasers TV Show Will Be Developed By Derek Kolstad For Alcon

Battle Chasers, a manga series by Joe Madureira, which was recently acquired by Alcon Television Corporation. The series will be developed for the small screen by John Wick creator Derek Kolstad, who was appointed to write and executive produce the live-action adaptation.
This comes after it was reported that the best-selling manga would return with its tenth installment after a 20-year hiatus. Battle Chasers Set in a punk world and follow a group of outdated heroes – among them a disgraced swordsman, a thief, a wizard, a kind war machine and a young girl with a magic gloves left behind by his missing father. Throughout the story, these incapable individuals will have to work together to fight the dark forces that threaten their world.
Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove, the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Alcon Entertainment will act as Executive Producer, along with Ben Roberts of Alcon Television Corporation. About the project, Roberts said, “I couldn’t be more excited to bring Battle Chasers with the world in this way, I became deeply connected to this material 20 years ago when I first picked up Joe’s comics and so to be a part of bringing this exciting material to the world. New audience is, to say the least, suspenseful. “
Roberts’ connection to the comics matches series author Madureira’s excitement for the new series project. Kolstad has a bunch of pretty busy projects after its popularity John Wick franchise, ended its fourth season last month. In addition to co-executive production The Falcon and the Winter Soldier for Disney+, he is also currently adapting Ubisoft games Splinter Cell for Netflix and Hellsing manga as an Amazon feature.
