It was a very happy birthday for Fraser on the first day on the set of ‘Batgirl.’
Upcoming HBO Max Co-Director Bat girl movie Adil El Arbi posted a new set of pictures and videos to celebrate Brendan Fraser’birthday of. The post lovingly celebrates Fraser’s birthday and their first day on set. El Arbi and co-directors Billal Fallah posed with Fraser on set, as well as organizing a surprise cake for the actor’s 53rd birthday. The video shows Fraser in shock in response as the entire crew sings “Happy Birthday” to him.
Fans are happy to hear Fraser will play the villain in the new Bat girl, slated to premiere in 2022 on HBO Max. Although not confirmed, it is reported that he will most likely play the superhuman Firefly, a man who loves to burn things, just as his name suggests. Fraser is certainly familiar with the DC Universe, as he currently plays the Robot / Cliff Steele on Doom Patrol. El Arbi previously shared an image of Barbra Gordon’s desk just three days ago to confirm the start of filming. His latest post on Fraser shows off a fun set that is sure to make for an interesting end product.
El Arbi and Fallah, who recently directed Ugly for life, will be directing the film with a script from Christina Hodson (Birds of prey). Hodson also wrote coming Speed filming Ezra Miller. Natalie Holt, who scored for Marvel’s Loki, will score. Leslie Grace, actress and singer who plays Nina in In the heights this early year, will take the Batgirl cloak. Also in the movie is JK Simmons as Commissioner Gordon, returning to his role from both versions of Alliance justice.
There is no official release date for Bat girl but it’s slated to premiere on HBO Max sometime in 2022, not theatrical release. Not much is known about the plot, so for now we’ll have to settle for El Arbi’s adorable Instagram posts. You can see the article below:
