Barry: Everything we know about Season 3, release date, trailer and more

After almost three years of waiting, the third season of the hit show starts barry is finally coming.

The dark comedy made its first season debut in 2018. The show stars Bill Hader as Barry Berkman, a low-level hitman desperate to break free from his violent hit-and-run past.

When he’s sent to his next “hit” to execute an LA actor, he feels at home in the new city and discovers a passion for acting after attending a local acting class.

Below is everything we know about the return of barry, from the release date to the first official teaser and what to expect in the new season.

When will season three be released?

The eight-episode series is set to return April 24 on HBO Max in the US.

While the show was renewed for a third season in 2019, production was delayed due to the pandemic.

The official HBO Max Twitter account broke the news in February, writing, “Barry is back and he’s ready for another shot at redemption. Season 3 starts April 24 on @hbomax. #BarryHBO.”

What is the new season about?

According to the official HBO Max release, “In season three, Barry and the other characters try to make the right choices.”

In the first official teaser, Barry is seen in a variety of ominous scenes – wiggling a gun, caught in an explosion and in the aftermath of a car crash – while a voice is heard saying, “Forgiveness must be earned.”

“Everyone deserves a second chance,” replies Barry.

In addition to Hader, this season’s cast includes Stephen Root, Sarah Goldberg, Anthony Carrigan, Henry Winkler, Sarah Burns, D’Arcy Carden and Michael Irby.

barry will be released April 24 on HBO Max in the US. A UK broadcast date is TBC.
