It was unclear who wrote the Facebook post, but Gursten’s grandson AJ posted one update on her condition last week on the site.
Gustern, a once-famous vocal coach whose students included Blondie singer Debbie Harry, was walking down West 28th Street around 8 p.m. Thursday when an unidentified woman came up behind her and pushed her to the ground.
Her red-haired attacker, who was not arrested, then ran away.
Gustern suffered a serious head injury.
