Barack Obama’s humiliation of weak old Joe Biden

Someone in the White House really has to hate Joe Biden.

Who had the stupid idea to invite his charismatic predecessor back to stage the president and humiliate him before the world?

If the idea was to borrow the magic from Barack Obama, it backfired. The President just looked weak andunpopular against his former boss who is in the spotlight.

Invited to the White House for the first time in five years, Obama began Tuesday’s speech by announcing his 12th anniversary Affordable Care Act by referring to the President as “Vice President Biden.”

He quickly followed up, “That was a joke!” but the point got across that Joe is the beta in this relationship, even if he is most powerful man on the planet.

What does Obama do?

Well, according to Senator Ted Cruz’s communications advisor Steve Guest, he mentioned himself 33 times during his speech. Obama sang his own praises as he rattled off a list of his presidency’s accomplishments.

There was little effort to polish the tarnished reputation of the old man who stood somberly beside him, trying to look cheerful. Beside him, Vice President Kamala Harris was bursting with excitement.

After the speech, the three luminaries mingled with the crowd, and it was here that Obama showed his true colors.

C-SPAN videos show Biden quite cheerful, happy handing over of the crowd, Harris at his side as Obama suddenly appears from the left of the stage, grimacing in a pretty smile, staring at the same crowd raving about Biden.

disappearing smile

Harris senses Obama’s presence and spins around with a gleeful expression on his face and they look at each other for a moment. The smile fades from Biden’s face as Harris turns away. He spots Obama and frowns. Obama, as he greets Harris, tosses his head like a horse and she responds by hunching her shoulders like an excited child. As a frowning Biden approaches, she turns to him and looks slightly amused, her lips pursed in a kind of private “uh oh, lol.”

Biden’s face thunders. He growls open his mouth, looks straight at Obama’s head, and says something that sounds like, “It’s not my . . .” and then stops itself.

Obama ignores him and reaches out to the small group of admirers in front of him, shaking hands and pulling a sweet smile on his face. At this stage, Harris has turned his back on Biden and placed himself between the two men, reflecting Obama’s pantomime of charm.

Biden makes a face. Then he turns his gaze to Obama. He reaches around Harris to touch Obama’s arm and get his attention. Obama, smiling lively, ignores him before maneuvering from arm’s length.

Biden scowls over his shoulder. Obama’s escape is thwarted by a short blonde woman who shakes his hand. Biden looks concerned and stares at this woman who only has eyes for Obama and Harris by his side.

A few moments later he makes his move. He extends his left hand and places his long, white fingers on Obama’s right shoulder. You can tell Obama is feeling it because he involuntarily jerks his head away, a micro-expression of what looks like disgust flits across his face.

Biden is concentrating on his hand, which is now firmly on Obama’s shoulder.

Obama’s eyes swivel in Biden’s direction, but his head doesn’t move. He lets go of the blonde woman’s hand with a smile and leans away to shake off the hand that’s now firmly on his shoulder. He and the blond woman start joking. He laughs at something she says.

Biden looks desperate and incredulous as he clutches a man’s shoulder and pretends he doesn’t exist.

Obama drops his shoulder but can’t shake his hand. A shadow crosses his face – anger maybe, or despair. He raises his right hand high in the air, then dips it into the crowd to shake another hand. He swings and dives and leans forward, but the bony white hand holds on.

Harris, mouth open in an approximation of ecstasy, stares up at Obama with glittering eyes.

Obama tries again to shake hands, raising his arm even higher in an exaggerated farewell gesture to his admirers. But Biden is holding on.

Nobody to talk to

One of the video clips posted by the Republican National Committee research team on social media with the caption, “Literally Nobody Wants To Talk To Joe Biden,” ends right there.

But the entire C-SPAN video shows that Obama is about to give in to the inevitable.

He whirls to face Biden and the hand finally lets go. He tosses his head slightly at the old man and raises his eyebrows as if to say, “What’s wrong?” As if he doesn’t know.

Biden relaxes to a beaming smile, his dignity restored, and finds a woman nearby to politely introduce his ex-boss. Obama then gestures slightly and moves away with Harris next to him, Biden behind.

Another video showed Biden and Nancy Pelosi standing inches apart and avoiding eye contact. Biden walks the other way and raises both arms in an inviting “look who’s here” gesture to no one on camera, but doesn’t seem to get a response, so he goes back to where Pelosi had been , and finds nothing but a Golden Curtain. His head turns and there, a few yards away, he sees Obama holding court in front of eager acolytes.

Nobody notices Biden. He pauses before turning and walking away, shoulders slumped.

Rolling Stone and other Democrat activists fanned out the next day to say the RNC’s video clips had been maliciously edited and “taken out of context.”

But unfortunately they weren’t. You can watch the entire video from start to finish and your sense of Biden’s abandonment by his party will not change.

With a haunting violin melody as the soundtrack, the flags and young faces in military uniforms waving around in the background, there is something tragically iconic about this first video in a way I think we can only vaguely grasp today.

America’s adversaries will know exactly what to think when they see ours lost, unloved President, neglected and ignored, he wanders about his own home while his subordinates flatter his predecessor. Where were his staff to save him from humiliation? where, for never mind was dr. jill

One thing is now clear: the VP is not a team player. If any, Harris is actively working against the President and is under the secret spell of Obama.

We also saw the real character of Obama. he is nothing but a mean girl consumed by its own charms. What a piece of work! Would it have killed him to show a little grace and kindness to his faltering successor?

Publicly humiliating the President of the United States is wrong – even if it is Joe Biden.

In the end, a 3D chess genius might have invited Obama to the White House, because even Biden’s toughest critics couldn’t help but feel a tinge of sympathy for him.
