BALTIMORE (WJZ) – President Biden announced a new COVID-19 Winter Action Plan on Thursday aimed at slowing the spread of the virus, and several Baltimore residents shared their thoughts on it with WJZ after the announcement. .
The plan includes:
- Stiffness for all adults
- Vaccinate to protect children and keep schools open
- Extended free home trial
- Stronger public health protocols for safe international travel
- Protect the workplace
- Rapid response teams can deal with increased cases
- Provide medication to help prevent hospitalization and death
- A continuing commitment to global immunization efforts
- Steps to ensure the country is prepared for any eventuality
Some Baltimore area residents in Hampden said the plan seemed like a step in the right direction.
“I think that’s great,” said Leon Bridges, an Oella resident. “We need leaders to go there to protect our country instead of preferring to make decisions that make things more risky and I think Americans should step up and do their part and do the right thing. vaccinations.”
Nikki Martens, a Hampden resident, said the steps that will be taken to ensure more people are getting boosters and immunizations are important.

Joe Esposito told WJZ he thinks the president is doing everything he can to fight the virus.
