When and where is the ceremony?
The Bafta Film Awards will be held at the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday 13 March and will be broadcast on BBC One from 7pm.
This year’s awards ceremony is hosted by Australian actor and comedian Rebel Wilson.
the bridesmaids star follows in the footsteps of Dermot O’Leary and Edith Bowman, who hosted the main show during lockdown last year.
Commenting on the news when it was announced in January, Wilson appeared to joke about JK Rowling’s controversial comments about transgender people and gender identity, while alluding to her own weight loss.
“I’ve recently gone through a tremendous transformation so hopefully JK Rowling is okay with me hosting the @BAFTAs 2022,” she tweeted, adding a shrug emoji.
In an official statement on hosting the Baftas, Wilson joked that she was looking forward to the awards taking place in a world where Covid-19 no longer exists, as it has inevitably been “cancelled”.
