Avatar 2: The Way of Water Reviews and Reactions Embargo Leaked?

With the Avatar 2: The Way of Water With release just around the corner, fans are looking forward to first impressions, along with reactions and reviews from those lucky enough to see the film early. Now it seems we have a date for both the first impression embargo and the official rating embargo in a potential leak.
When will Avatar 2: The Way of Water reviews go live?
Recent claims indicate that the response embargo for Avatar: The Way of Water will be lifted at 6:00 p.m. ET on December 6th. It also says the rating embargo will be lifted a week later, on December 13 at 12:00 p.m. ET. That’s just three days before the film hits theaters on December 16th. The information is said to have come from a live stream from film critic Grace Randolph.
Some believe the embargo on late reviews bodes badly, as filmmakers and studios have historically been accused of enforcing them in a way that negative reactions don’t severely impact opening weekend box office numbers. The counterargument to this would be that the creatives who worked on the film don’t want social media and the wider internet to be inundated with spoilers, as they want audiences to jump into their film completely fresh.
Avatar: The Way of Water is the long-awaited sequel to the hit 2009 blockbuster Avatar, directed by James Cameron. The filmmaker returns to the director’s chair for the sequel, which will once again immerse audiences in the lives of Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and Ney’tiri (Zoe Saldaña). After raising a family and doing whatever it takes to stay together and safe, they are forced to leave their homeland and explore other regions of Pandora while Jake participates in a war against humans that threatens everyone’s future.
In other news, Mark Hamill’s Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special role has been revealed, and the latest Steam sale discounts tons of PC games.
