They were part of a group of 11 skiers, eight of whom were hit by a blizzard about 200 meters (655 feet) wide as they climbed a slope during a ski excursion on Saturday at… Tweng region, in the province of Salzburg. Regional police said three of the skiers were buried by the avalanche, while two others were partially buried and were able to free themselves.
