At least 9 arrested at rally outside NYC City Hall

At least nine people were arrested Monday at a heated rally over gender issues at Manhattan City Hall, police officers said.

The arrests were made when about 70 people, including pro- and anti-gay protesters, clashed in front of the fences of City Hall on West Broadway on Murray Street at around 12:30 p.m. at the event

The arrests were made around 1 p.m. The charges are not immediately available, police said.
