Britain’s youngest granny has hit back at those who are trolling her daughter for having a baby when she was 14.

Kelly Healey was just 30 when her teenage daughter, Skye Salter, was born Bailey had three and a half years ago.

Kelly, mother of five, from West London, said the mirror She was trolled for not teaching daughter Skye about birth control.

She insists she spoke to Skye about the birds and the bees – but their girl was not sexually active at the time.

Skye, who will turn 18 in the next few months, was eight months old when she discovered she was pregnant during an appointment to start birth control.

“People have no idea what goes on behind closed doors,” she told The Mirror.

“I won’t worry about what they say, they don’t know me.

“I’m proud of myself and the mother that I am. You are not the one raising my child, I am.”

Kelly added: “Skye is very mature for her age and she’s done amazingly well. She continued to go to school while I took care of Bailey.

“She got her GCSEs and hair and beauty credentials, she’s doing really well on Tik Tok now and has thousands of followers.”

With Bailey due to start school in September, Skye now plans to learn to drive so she can become a caregiver for disabled children.

Kelly was just 29 when she found out she was going to be a nan.

She previously told Fabulous, “I never expected to find out that I was going to be a nan while still in my 20s.

“But there was no point in yelling at Skye about birth control and safe sex. What has been done has been done.

“All I could do was offer love and support. As a mother, you just take care of those things.”
