Asmongold invites Phil Spencer on his WoW podcast after Microsoft buys Blizzard

Popular Warcraft Twitch streamer Asmongold is back and has a big claim with Xbox boss Phil Spencer after Microsoft acquired Activision Blizzard.

Microsoft shocked the gaming world in mid-January when it announced they acquires Activision Blizzard in a $70 billion deal. Now, Asmongold wants to discuss this move with one of the higher ups.

The acquisition, which won’t be approved until 2023, will see Microsoft take control of blockbuster franchises like Overwatch, Call of Duty and, of course, Warcraft.

In me streaming back on his main channelAsmongold mentioned the arrangement and push for Phil Spencer himself to appear on his Allcraft podcast.

Asmongold wants Phil Spencer on his podcast

After voicing approval of Microsoft’s acquisition, Asmongold pushed to invite the CEO of Microsoft Gaming to join its program.

“Honestly, I am very excited. Phil, if you see this, I’d love to have you on Allcraft,” beamed streamer. “And I want to see what the plan is. What’s the idea.”

According to Asmongold, while he’s been following Spencer on Twitter, he’s yet to receive a following back, so the Xbox boss’ appearance on the show likely won’t be around for a while.

Microsoft has been involved in a number of high-profile takeovers in recent years.

That said, now that the Twitch streamer has made his claim public, it’s likely steam will kick in and we see the two merge in some form.

“We’ll see what happens. But man, imagine. I think that would be great,” he added. “And we’ll be doing Allcraft regularly again.”

The streamer, for his part, is excited about Microsoft’s takeover, commenting on how, like many, he feels it couldn’t be worse when Blizzard takes control and the new change could be what the game needs.

We’ll have to see if Spencer accepts Asmongold’s offer, but if he does, it could be one of the biggest podcasts the streamer has had to date in his career. Asmongold invites Phil Spencer on his WoW podcast after Microsoft buys Blizzard
