Ready and able
William Saliba ‘left open’ to stay in Marseille if they qualify for the Champions League.
Saliba joined the Gunners from Saint-Etienne for around £27m in 2019.
After spending a season on loan at Geoffroy-Guichard during the 2019-2020 campaign, many had expected the defender to play a part for the North London side in the following campaign.
But by the time the January transfer window hit, he was still unable to make his debut.
Then a loan move to Nice and the centre-back returned to his homeland again last summer to join OM.
The 20-year-old has thrived in Ligue 1 under manager Jorge Sampaoli and has made 26 appearances so far.
Based on La Provencethe Frenchman is feeling ‘very good’ at the Velodrome and he is ready to move it on permanently.
However, his ‘condition is that the club qualify for the Champions League’ next season.
Marseille are now well on their way to that goal as they are third in the top flight, two points behind second-placed Nice and 13 behind leaders Paris Saint-Germain
