Arrest in connection with fatal shooting on Main Street

BUFFALO, NY (WIVB) – A 36-year-old Buffalo man was arrested Tuesday in connection with a fatal shooting on September 12th.

Michael Barnes was arrested and charged with one count of second-degree murder and one count of criminal possession of a weapon.

At approximately 1:50 a.m. on September 12, police responded to the scene of an accident in the 3100 block of Main Street for a “shooting call.”

According to police, a male victim was pronounced deceased at the scene and following an investigation, Barnes was arrested in connection with the incident. The victim was identified as 28-year-old Thomas Davis of Buffalo.
