Followers of the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle were sent into a frenzy on Wednesday after a rare picture of her son Archie surfaced, showing him sitting on her lap while her mother, Doria Ragland, stood next to Markle.
The image appears to be a screenshot of a video call the family had with Jotaka Eaddy, the founder and CEO of Full Circle Strategies, a social impact consultancy, and political strategist Donna Brazile.
The image offers a glimpse of the youngest royal, whose full name is Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, and who has rarely appeared in public since his birth in May 2019, according to the Sun.
The picture of Archie was originally shared on Twitter by Duchess Harris – a Minnesota professor specializing in American studies and feminism – but has since been removed from the social media site.
Archie and his mother showed up on the same day Prince William and Kate Middleton visited the US, where the Prince and Princess of Wales landed in Boston and are expected to spend three days in Massachusetts to attend the second Earthshot Prize awards ceremony.
Harry and Meghan are also slated to be on the East Coast next week, where the demoted royals will receive a Ripple of Hope award from the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Center, which is hosting a gala in New York. The honor goes to fighting “structural racism” within the royal family.
According to insiders, William and Kate are “not going to be distracted” by the couple.
The Journey comes as a docu-series about Harry and Meghan, set to premiere on Netflix on December 8, which promises to detail their “love story”.
