Anne-Marie Duff has opened up about her decision not to get Botox.
That shameless Star opened up about her performance in a new interview with The Independent.
“I’m not botoxed to the nines,” Duff said.
The 51-year-old actress said she made a conscious decision not to have the popular beauty procedure.
“I made that decision, and some people think it’s crazy,” she said. “But it didn’t stop me from getting a job.”
Duff went on to say that women on the street stopped her on the street to say “thank you” for choosing to have Botox.
“It’s such an emotional thing, you know?” said the actor.
After her role in shamelessDuff later starred in the hit HBO series Its dark materials and Netflix sex education.
Elsewhere in the interview, she spoke about growing up in an Irish family in west London, describing how she “lived in a household where we had the gas turned off”.
“When I was growing up, we didn’t go to the theatre. When you’re living on the poverty line, it can’t be a priority. That’s why we need theater in schools and things like NT Live and cheap ticket systems to make things incredibly accessible to people,” the actor said.
