Angel struggles to move on with nails
Mayan’s MC came back with explosives Season 4 Premiere. At first it seemed like none of the Santo Padre charters would make it out alive, but luckily that wasn’t the case. Episode 2 jumped four months later and Nails is visibly pregnant with her and Angel’s child. Though Angel insists things are good, there are signs he is struggling to get away from Adelita and her baby, who he believes is dead.
Angel and Adelita had a baby before he was with Nails
In Mayan’s MC Season 4, Angel Reyes is dealing with some complicated emotions and this may just be the beginning. Angel was previously involved with Adelita and she eventually became pregnant with his son. Adelita gave birth while being held captive by her Lincoln Potter. Despite being rescued by Los Olvidados, she has no idea of her baby’s status. Potter assures her that her son is alive, but there is no proof that this is true.
Meanwhile, Angel starts sleeping with Nails. She gushes about Angel, who doesn’t really take her seriously until he finds out She is pregnant with his child. When speaking to Pop Culture, Justina Adorno commented on reading for her character during the audition. She said: “I felt like she was down to earth. I felt she was the most relatable overall. No matter who you are, everyone knows how it feels to not be treated the best.”

Angel prepares for fatherhood in Season 4 of Mayans MC
While Angel is determined to be a good father to his baby with Nails, he’s clearly struggling to let go of the past Mayan’s MC Season 4. On several occasions he is shown looking at the picture of his and Adelita’s baby, who he believes is dead. EZ seems to sense that Angel is struggling (although he denies it). He advises his brother to leave the past behind. Angel then deletes his son’s picture.
“The last thing he heard about his baby with Adelita was that he wasn’t alive,” Clayton Cardenas said meeting. “So he’s going into this new season with the belief that he and Nails are going to have this baby and hopefully this new life that he never had. That’s always been the thing with Angel, being the father he never had in his life and potentially being a positive influence on someone. I think it’s an opportunity to find life outside the club.”
Some fans doubt that Angel really loves Nails
While Angel is committed to fatherhood, that doesn’t necessarily mean he really loves Nails. In a scene in Mayan’s MC In season 4, Nails tries to get Angel to sit down and have breakfast with her, but he eats quickly and rushes out the door. “Angry. The Angel and Nails thing makes me cringe: HE DON’T LOVE THE GIRL A LITTLE BIT and to watch him fake it is really exhausting,” one Reddit user wrote.
If Adelita manages to find her baby and returns, things could get extremely complicated for this trio. “It’s very obvious that this situation is an unrequited love situation. Angel is only with her for the baby,” one Reddit user said of Nails. “I have a feeling that either Nails will be very heartbroken after Adelita and Angel reunite with their son and then leave Santo Padre OR she will be killed after birth and Hank will be distraught which will make him go after Angel.”
New episodes of Mayan’s MC Season 4 airs Tuesday nights at 10 p.m. EST on FX.
