Andor star Diego Luna shares Star Wars message after episode 12 where history is made

Diego Luna paid tribute Andor after the release of Episode 12, the finale of the hit series.

Andor began in September and after the first three episodes quickly became the highest-rated Star Wars project in years.

Each week, fans flocked to social media to share messages of gratitude for creator Tony Gilroy’s success in recapturing the magic they felt was missing in other projects.

It’s been regularly mentioned that he did this by eschewing fanservice and instead creating an intriguing story that would be completed in a 12-episode second season.

Luna who plays the main role Villain One‘s Cassian Andor in the Star Wars spin-off shared a message with viewers hours after the part’s release on Disney Plus.

He wrote on Twitter: “Episode 12 of #Andor is here. That’s it!!! What a journey. I am grateful to everyone involved in this project. We made it through a very difficult time and we achieved what we set out to do. I am so proud to be part of this family.”

In response, many praised Luna for his performance.

Music producer Ewan Pearson replied: “The best Star Wars project in years and by far one of the best TV shows this year. Really brilliant stuff from you and everyone involved.”

Luna fan account diegolunadaily called the episode, “Absolutely stunning,” and wrote, “You and the team just made Star Wars history with this episode.”

“Perhaps the best Star Wars ever,” wrote @SiUttley, adding, “Thanks to you and your team. Unbelievable.”
