Andor Episode 4: Star Wars fans discover Starkiller armor

Star Wars series Andor wowed audiences with its outstanding world-building and character development, but it was one particular scene in Episode 4 that left eagle-eyed fans gaping when they discovered a slightly modified version of the Starkiller armor in Luthen Rael’s Coruscant apartment.

Why the Starkiller Armor in Episode 4 of Andor wowed fans

Starkiller, also known as Galen Marek, is a Force-sensitive human hired by the Sith Lord Darth Vader as a secret apprentice and personal assassin. So far, the character has only appeared in video games and comic books, so seeing the character subtly introduced into the Star Wars canon was a huge moment, and one that caused a stir on social media almost as soon as Andor’s episode 4 was released on Disney Plus.

One Twitter user poked fun at how such moments can be “shoved down our throats” by saying “that’s how you get an Easter egg right,” while others pondered the future of the Star Wars universe and whether Starkiller could may or may not be demonstrated in person at some point, perhaps even with its own limited series.

The scene comes a week after the debut of the series’ first three episodes, in which some viewers noted that the ship used by Luthen Rael was a similar if not the same model as that used by Starkiller in The Force Unleashed. Although Luthen’s cockpit is placed further forward in the ship than Starkiller’s, they are very similar. Whether this is a coincidence remains to be seen, but fans are certainly hoping for more Starkiller content in the near future.

Andor continues Wednesdays on Disney Plus. In Episode 5, the titular future rebel hero embarks on a dangerous mission with a team he’s just been introduced to on the planet Aldhani. It will serve as his entry point into the growing Rebel movement, marking only the first taste of the success he’s having pinning it to the Empire.

In other news, the House of the Dragon Episode 6 window scene left viewers “appalled” while some fun FIFA 23 glitches revealed player, frame rate, UI, and physics glitches. Andor Episode 4: Star Wars fans discover Starkiller armor
