Amber Heard is set to sit down for her first full-length television interview since losing a multimillion-dollar defamation lawsuit brought by ex-husband Johnny Depp.
On Monday, meeting exclusively reported that the Aquaman The actor’s interview with NBC’s Savannah Guthrie will air Friday (June 17) after a Virginia jury found her guilty of defaming Depp in a 2018 op-ed The Washington Post.
“Johnny Depp’s legal team flooded the media with numerous statements and television interviews for days after the verdict, and Depp himself did the same on social media,” a Heard spokesman said.
“Ms Heard simply wanted to respond to what they aggressively did last week; She did this by expressing her thoughts and feelings, many of which she was not allowed to take on the witness stand.”
