Amanda Holden Says She’s ‘Team David’ Amid Doubts Over Future of David Walliam’s ‘Britain’s Got Talent’

Amanda Holden has expressed her support for David Walliams as she doubts he will continue to appear on the Britain’s Got Talent Jury.

An ITV spokesman said this week that Walliams’ future on the show was “very up in the air” after the comedian allegedly made derogatory remarks and sexually explicit remarks about contestants auditioning for the series at the London Palladium in January 2020 .

Walliams later apologized for the “disrespectful comments,” which allegedly included him calling an older cast member “c***” three times.

Monday November 22nd lad BGT Judge Holden spoke Good morning Britain at the Variety Club Show Business Awards and was asked how she would like the judges to see her next year.

“I want the jury to look like it used to be,” she said. “I think we’re a great team, we’re a family.”

When asked directly if she was “Team David,” she replied, “Of course I’m Team David.”

Simon Cowell reportedly said: “I think the most important thing for me – and I had this conversation the other day. It’s always about the talent. If you don’t have great talent, you don’t have a show. That’s all I care about.”


Later in the week, Cowell declined to comment on whether Walliams would return, saying so The day star: “Ask me in a few weeks.”

When pressed about Walliams’ actions, he said, “Can’t we go there? If you are okay with that.”
