Alli Simpson reveals she broke her neck in a pool accident – Billboard

Cody Simpson grateful to his sister, Alli is recovering from a dangerous swimming pool accident.
The 23-year-old presenter, singer and actress has on Instagram on Monday night (January 3) to share that she broke her neck after “putting my head in the shallow pool first and smashing my head to the bottom.” Alli also tested positive for COVID-19.
She shared: “On New Year’s Eve, I had an X-ray/CT scan and an MRI and found out I had two severe broken bones in my neck (C6 & T1). “I was taken straight to the hospital in an ambulance to be evaluated by a neurosurgeon.”
“The result – no immediate surgery and I was sent home in a stiff neck brace and I will live 24/7 for the next 4 months as my neck will hopefully heal on its own..” she added. . “I’m incredibly lucky to be alive and/or not quadriplegic because it JUST missed my vocal cords..”
“The way I see it, four months is a drop in the ocean when it comes to the rest of my happy and healthy life.. as you can imagine, I was in tears and thankful. every guardian angel always watching over me in she continues, thank you family and friends for all their support and love.
“Hopefully your start to the new year is so much better than mine!! stay safe this year famous & DON’T GO INTO ANYTHING WHEN YOU DON’T KNOW IT’S DEATH! ‘ she concluded.

Cody was quick to share her sister’s post on her Instagram Story and offered words of love. “You are a miracle,” he wrote. “I love you and I’m so grateful you’re safe.”
