Alicia Silverstone’s son Bear, 12, towers over her at the LA Clippers game

Alicia Silverstone’s son Bear is all grown up. The “Clueless” actress took her 12-year-old to the Los Angeles Clippers-Houston Rockets game on Friday, November 17 – and he almost towered over her.

Before the game, Bear was photographed shooting hoops on the court at Crypto.com Arena while his famous mother watched from the sidelines.

Bear, who Silverstone shares with ex-husband Christopher Jarecki, wore a Clippers jersey over a hoodie for the rare game.

Silverstone, 47, and Bear are big fans of the NBA, as it announced in December 2022 that it had acquired a signed jersey from Milwaukee Bucks athlete Giannis Antetokounmpo for Hanukkah.

However, the “Reptile” actress has caused a stir over the years for some of her parenting decisions for her only child. In July 2022, she revealed that she still sleeps in the same bed as Bear as she explained her “natural” parenting style for him.

“Bear and I still sleep together,” she shared at the time during a July 19 appearance on the Ellen Fisher Podcast. “And I’m going to get in trouble if I say that. But I don’t really care.”

“I am a natural mother. And I just do what comes naturally. I am a loving mom. I believe in love, I believe in nature and our society is afraid of nature and afraid of love,” she continued. “If you put your baby down in a wild environment with animals, it will be eaten. So it’s not ideal for the baby to be over there.”

Silverstone added that being a mother is “the most precious and incredible experience in this world.” However, she believes that “it’s not for everyone and anyone who doesn’t want to do it shouldn’t do it.”

The vegan also made headlines years before for sharing a video of herself pre-chewing food before pouring it directly into Bear’s mouth.

Silverstone and Jarecki separated in 2018 after 13 years of marriage. The star originally wanted more children, but when she got divorced, she decided to just put all her energy into Bear.

“He literally crawls across the room to attack my mouth when I eat. This video was taken about a month or two ago when he was a little shaky. Now he’s grabbing my mouth to get the food,” she posted on her website The Kind Life at the time. “This website is a fantastic resource for those who want to delve deeper into the world of healthy, green and environmentally friendly living.”

“I wanted to squeeze every little moment out of him,” she explained. “It wasn’t until he was three that I was ready to have another baby, but I didn’t have any partners, so I didn’t have four babies.”
