Alabama coach Nick Saban buys $17.5 million Florida home

Alabama football coach Nick Saban has bought a $17.5 million oceanfront Florida home.
Jupiter Island resident Saban, the highest paid coach in college sports, closed the home last month.
The property last traded for $9.2 million in 2014, meaning the price in the high-demand area has nearly doubled since then.
The 6,200 square foot home sits on 1.7 acres and offers uninterrupted views of the Atlantic Ocean from the front yard and the Indian River from the back yard.
Additional features include a renovated dock, gourmet kitchen with upgraded stainless steel appliances, and parking for up to 50 cars.
Comprising a four bedroom, five bathroom main house and a 500 square meter guest apartment, the property offers plenty of space for entertaining.

“This property stretches across the ocean to the intracoastal, which is very rare,” Corcoran resident Joanne Wagner, who shared the offer with Susan Turner, told Front Office Sports. (They declined to comment on this story.) “With no commercial operations on the island, this is just a wonderful place to live. We have a lot of high profile people here, but everything is very low key and not flashy at all.”
Meanwhile, Jupiter Island is awash with other celebs, including Tiger Woods, Greg Norman, Gary Player and singer Celine Dion. MLB pitcher Max Scherzer also bought a Jupiter mansion for $15 million earlier this year.
In 2022, Alabama signed an eight-year contract extension with Saban worth $93.6 million. He has been the head football coach at the University of Alabama since 2007. Before that he was the head coach of the Miami Dolphins.
In 2013, Saban was inducted into the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame. As a head coach, he has won seven national titles, the most in college football history.
