Adele thanks the fans for coming back to me at Caesars Palace during the first night of their belated stay in Las Vegas

Adele told the crowd that her postponed stay in Las Vegas “looked exactly like I imagined” as she kicked off the first night of the run.

Adele’s run at Caesars Palace was originally scheduled to start on January 21 at Caesars Palace, but was rescheduled just two hours before the first show was scheduled to start because she was “not ready”.

The singer later described the cancellation as “the worst moment” of her career and said she was “embarrassed” at letting fans down.

But on Friday (November 18) the Weekends With Adele residency finally got underway, with the British singer receiving a standing ovation as she took the stage.

However, Adele said she should be the ones applauding her fans, telling them: “Thank you for coming back to me.

“It looks exactly how I imagined it,” she said. “It’s just perfect. Many Thanks.”

Admitting she was so “nervous”, “anxious” and “happy”, Adele continued: “I can’t leave the stage for about 50 minutes so I will [a] S***ty face with striped makeup for the entire first part of the show.

Adele also thanked Caesars Palace for the support she had been shown following the show’s postponement and said she was “honoured” to perform at the venue.

“I really want to thank Caesars because a lot of shit has been written about me since I canceled my shows,” she said.

“I’m telling you 90 percent of it is absolutely made up, there were rumors that I was moving to hotels and theaters and all that and they never asked about it [me] any questions.”

Adele opened 2015 with the single “Hello” and then went on to perform her biggest hits like “Skyfall” and “Easy On Me”.

Stormzy was seen in the audience alongside her partner Rich Paul.

Thousands of fans who traveled from all over the world for the show said Adele “exceeded all expectations” with the show.

Her new run is scheduled to run through March 25 and will include 24 rescheduled shows and eight additional dates.
