In one tearful video posted on InstagramAdele apologized, saying her team went to great lengths to get the show on time, but said they were “completely destroyed” by delivery delays and COVID.
“I’m so sorry but my show isn’t ready yet,” she said. “Half of my team, half of my team are having problems with COVID. They still are, and can’t end the show. And I can’t give you what I have right now, and I’ve gutted.”
Adele’s series of shows at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace will begin Friday, January 21 and run through April 16.
Tickets went on sale in December, with record sales.
“And I’m sorry it was so last minute. We’ve been up for over 30 hours trying to figure it out, and we’ve run out of time,” she said. “And I’m very upset, and I’m really embarrassed and I’m so sorry to the people that have traveled, again.”
The Grammy-winning singer said the dates would be rescheduled.
“It’s not possible. We’ve resisted a lot, and it’s not ready yet,” she said. “I am really sorry.”
