WATERLOO Road’s Adam Thomas led the reunion on Waterloo Road as he hugged his former co-star Katie Griffiths.
The couple – who played Donte Charles and Chloe Grainger in the BBC drama – were last seen on our screens as a young couple 13 years ago.
In September of last year, it was revealed that Waterloo Road will be back with a new series SIX YEARS after being investigated by the BBC.
And viewers will be pleased to know that fan favorites Donte and Chloe will also be making an epic comeback.
Adam, who played the bad boy of Waterloo Road from 2006 to 2009, shared a snap of himself with on-screen mistress Katie on Instagram.
The actor captioned the post: “🚨 News is finally out!!! 🚨 Donte and Chloe are back!! @kaytgriff ❤️.”
Many people couldn’t contain their excitement in the comments section.

Katie played Chloe from 2006 to 2009 on the show.
The on-screen pair have been through the show’s ups and downs together, including coming to terms with the death of Donte’s best friend Adam Deardon in series one.
Chloe also cheated on Donte with her boyfriend Brett Aspinall n series three of her sister Mika.
However, the couple put their troubles behind them and got married in series four and also had a child together.
They were last seen on our screens 13 years ago when they moved out of Manchester so Chloe could attend university.
Speaking of his comeback, Adam said: “I can’t wait to get back to where it all started! Waterloo Road is such an important part of my life and career, so 15 years later coming back is a dream come true”.
“I feel so lucky to have been given this opportunity to get back into acting and do what I love! I can’t wait to see some old faces and some new faces again. I know the series. This is going to be the best movie.”
Katie added: “I’m super excited to be back at Waterloo Road – loved by all who do and watch it!
“Chlo is my first professional role, and I feel so lucky to be on the show again. I can’t wait to see what stories unfold!”
It doesn’t look like they’re the only characters to return as Angela Griffin is also playing teacher Kim Campbell, whom she played from 2006 to 2010.
The school-themed drama originally aired from 2006-2015 and featured familiar faces like Jill Halfpenny, Neil Morrissey and Neil Pearson.
Now, school drama will return to BBC One, as part of a commitment to create new shows across the country.
A new series of the award-winning show will be made and set in Greater Manchester.
The BBC hopes that the skills of TV production in the North of England will “reflect, represent and serve all regions of the country”.
