Adam Sandler supports Chris Rock after Oscar drama

Adam Sandler has expressed his support for Chris Rock after the comedian was beaten by Will Smith at the Oscars.

Sandler, who has known Rock since they joined Saturday night live together in 1990, tweeted a plug for Rock’s forthcoming ego death World Travel.

the Lucky Gilmore Star who worked with Rock on films such as Adults and The week ofShe also wrote, “Love you buddy!”

Smith attacked them top five star for joking about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s shaved head, but has since apologized, saying he’s “stepping out of line”.

In an Instagram post, Smith said he had an “emotional” reaction to Rock’s joke, which was called “inappropriate.” He said: “Violence in all its forms is poisonous and destructive. My behavior at the Oscars last night was unacceptable and inexcusable. Jokes at my expense are part of the job, but a joke about Jada’s health was too much for me and I reacted emotionally.”

Since the incident, sales for Rock’s upcoming comedy tour have surged. He will visit the UK in May playing shows in London, Birmingham, Leeds and Manchester.

Rock himself has not yet commented on the incident.
