Accused Colorado gunman Anderson Aldrich’s mother, Laura Voepel, was in trouble with the law

The mother of accused Colorado Springs mass shooters, Anderson Lee Aldrich, had also previously had run-ins with the law – including three outstanding warrants against her in California.

Laura Voepel, 45, was arrested in 2008 for false reporting, in 2010 for speeding and failing to appear in court, and in 2011 for drunk driving in the Golden State, the Gazette reported.

In 2008, she was also arrested in Riverside for public intoxication and no-show. It is not clear if this bust has been linked to misreporting.

Details and the arrangement of the cases were not immediately known. The poisoning case has reportedly been dropped.

In 2013, Voepel was sentenced to five years’ probation in one case, but it’s not clear what the incident was about. According to the newspaper, she did not fulfill her term of office, which expired in 2018.

“At the end of the day, the prosecution made an offer for criminal mischief and probation,” her attorney James Oltersdorf said, according to the newspaper.

Voepel had also reduced an arson attack in San Antonio, Texas, to a lesser charge, according to the outlet.

Aldrich, 22, is expected to face five murder charges and five counts of committing a bias-motivated felony involving assault in connection with Saturday night’s shooting at Club Q in Colorado Springs that killed five and injured dozens.

The Colorado district attorney had not filed an official charge Tuesday morning, saying they make sure they have enough evidence before filing it.

Last year he was arrested for allegedly making a bomb threat against his mother, who reported him for “threatening to harm her with a homemade bomb, multiple guns and ammunition,” police said.

No formal charges have been filed in the case, which has been sealed.

Voepel is the daughter of California Rep. Randy Voepel, who did not respond to The Post for comment.
