‘Absolutely stunning’: Michael Owen has been blown away by the actions of a £56k-a-week Liverpool player

Michael Owen and Glenn Hoddle praised Luis Diaz for his “absolutely stunning” goal in Liverpool’s 3-1 win over Bournemouth at Anfield on Saturday.
Jurgen Klopp’s side were under pressure from the start against the Cherries, who were disallowed for offside in the first minute before eventually taking the deserved lead minutes later.
Whilst Mohamed Salah’s goal from a saved penalty ensured Liverpool went 2-1 at the break, it was Luis Diaz who equalized first with a goal that Michael Owen described as ‘stunning’ and ‘first class’ and Glenn Hoddle , as they said Premier League Productions (8/19/23 at 3:55 p.m.).
It was the action-packed striker’s quite amazing improvisation as Diogo Jota played the ball across the box and made the goal look so good as he threw the ball high in the air and shot into the back of the net.
That’s two to two for Diaz, who was absent much of last season through injury but is now back in top form.
That’s why he received the praise of two of the game’s best in Michael Owen and Glenn Hoddle.

“Oh, that’s stunning,” said Owen. “Absolutely stunning. First of all I love Mo Salah’s run. He creates a really nice big gap between the Bournemouth defense here.
“Then Jota could make his run inside. It’s really good to run without the ball – I think it’s a fantastic goal. Absolutely brilliant.”
Glenn Hoddle added: “First class quality. He actually did it himself. Top top quality.”

Diaz can reach the 20 goal mark
Due to the way Klopp sets up the team, Liverpool wingers have always been the main source of scoring threats in the past. Because of this, players like Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane have had great success over the years.
But now Diaz has a chance to sing and dance by proving he can reach the 20-goal mark in the Premier League.
As he proved against Bournemouth, he has all kinds of goals in his closet. The way he can score easy goals but also score goals himself is a rare talent and it takes the star £56,000 a week to do it (Spotrac) a long way.
