‘Absolutely outstanding’: Jamie O’Hara was blown away by the 26-year-old Tottenham player today

Jamie O’Hara gushed about Tottenham Hotspur’s defensive midfielder Yves Bissouma as he watched him in action against Brentford in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Yves Bissouma was away in action for Tottenham Hotspur against Brentford at the Premier League’s Gtech Community Stadium today.

Bissouma started the London derby for Spurs.

The 26-year-old defensive midfielder was one of the two sitting midfielders in a 4-2-3-1 formation.

The game ended in one 2-2 draw.

Praise for Yves Bissouma for Tottenham Hotspur vs Brentford

Former Tottenham player and talkSPORT pundit Jamie O’Hara was impressed with Bissouma’s performance.

O’Hara continued to say Twitter that the former Brighton and Hove Albion defensive midfielder was “absolutely outstanding” in the London derby, adding that he was like a new signing.

Bissouma joined Spurs from Brighton in the summer of 2022.

Much was expected of the 26-year-old when he arrived at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium but the Mali international failed to make much of an impression at the north London club.

There have been injury problems and when Bissouma was fit he didn’t always start for Tottenham.

Bissouma made ten starts and 13 substitutes in the Premier League for Tottenham last season.

Against Brentford todayBissouma had three shots but none on target, played a crucial pass, had a 92% passing accuracy rate, made 136 touches, attempted seven dribbles and managed three tackles, two interceptions and two clearances.

We know from his time at Brighton how good a player Bissouma is.

Playing regularly for Tottenham will only help the 26-year-old return to that level.

Tottenham are aiming for a place in the top four of the Premier League table this season.
