Aaron Dessner and Peter Dinklage perform on ‘The Late Show’

Bryce and Aaron Dessner Composing the soundtrack for the new movie Peter Dinklage-actor movie Cyranoand now that trio got together to perform one of the movie’s songs, “Your Name” on The Late Late Show.

All three are connected by a piece of wire, which controls the song. As for Dinklage, he sang in a deep piece of music that really wasn’t far from what the Dessners were used to hearing from their The National band friend Matt Berninger.

Dinklage also chatted with Stephen Colbert in an interview and Colbert asked Dinklage how he felt about singing, as he was not a professional or experienced singer. He said, “It’s horrible, but you’re surrounded by really great musicians and really great singers and they make you feel better. And I like the mix of voices: it doesn’t have to be perfect. The greatest singers aren’t necessarily opera singers, they just have souls. I don’t have a soul, I don’t say that. […] You sing from the heart… Nina Simone and Bob Dylan and all the people like that you wouldn’t qualify as opera singers, but they are singers with souls.”
