A very big day is coming at Halas Hall

Present, Chicago Bears can enjoy a rare victory. Veteran quarterback Nick Foles started for Chicago against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 16 and led a late, inevitable win.

As the Bears dropped seven points, Foles quickly led the Bears’ attack down the field and threw a touchdown to Jimmy Graham. Then Matt Nagy made the double call – and won.

ONE unreasonable arrest made by Damiere Byrd gave the Bears the lead and they held the lead for the remainder of the game.

While it was a fun afternoon for a team that didn’t have much to cheer for all season, the eventual victory might not mean much – especially when it comes to Nagy. On Monday morning, teams with coach positions can now begin interviewing candidates from other teams.

To say it’s a big day is an understatement.

It’s going to be a big day for the Chicago Bears at Halas Hall, but what does that mean?

Brad Spielberger, who is usually quite attached to the Bears and is a salary cap analyst for Focus on professional football, tweeted something small, but important, early Monday. Before the clock struck 8 a.m., he suggested big things were to come for the Bears.

What does something like this mean? Could it be that Nagy is really about to be fired?

The Bears have never fired a coach during the off-season in their more than century of existence. Historically, they’ve been very patient with these decisions and didn’t make them until the season ended, most recently allowing John Fox to finish the season before letting him go and hiring Nagy.

Could this be related to Ryan Pace? Bears General Manager also on the hot seat for a while, despite boasting a pretty strong 2021 draft class.

One thing is almost certain, that Nagy is about to be shot. It has been widely speculated for quite some time and most reports have said that he will leave at the end of the season.

However, before the Bears take place in Seattle on Sunday, Ian Rapoport reported that Nagy could be fired after the game. Now, that report hinted that the Bears would lose the game – which they didn’t.

Not only were the bears able to do the unthinkable and fire Nagy during the off-season, but also after a win. That would show some serious guts by Ted Phillips and George McCaskey.

However, the big day will come, and if anything really happens, Bears fans will keep an eye on Halas Hall. Change is inevitable, but if it happens sooner rather than later, most fans will have reason to be excited about the new year. A very big day is coming at Halas Hall
