A truck accident in Washington, DC has killed two people after crashing into a fireworks display

Two people were killed when a runaway pickup truck drove into a fireworks display in Washington, DC on Saturday afternoon, police officers said.
The disaster happened after 5:30 p.m. on Minnesota Avenue in the Upper Central Northeast neighborhood, police said press conference.
The pickup truck was heading north and ran a red light before colliding with a man on a bicycle and crashing into the roadside fireworks stand and his companion, according to police. Both the cyclist and his companion were killed.

“At this time, we tentatively believe the driver suffered from a medical emergency, but we are still investigating,” said Wilfredo Manlapaz, deputy chief of the Metropolitan Police Department.
The driver and a passenger were being examined at a local hospital, officials said.
