Marlene Benitez is a social media content creator from Venezuela, South America who had over 14 million followers on TikTok before online drama reportedly led to her account being removed.

The internet star recently had her TikTok account removed after controversy erupted online over Benitez’s alleged disregard for the traditions of Veterans Day, a federal holiday in the United States honoring military veterans of the US Armed Forces.

An online petition has been launched to demand that Marlene Benitez’s social media accounts be deleted. claim that the social media personality had complained about the federal holiday in a live video.

Since her TikTok account, which originally had millions of followers, was later removed, false rumors about her death spread online.

In the TikTok video, a voiceover translates the sentence: “Those were the last moments of Marlene’s life.”

The viral clip now has over 6 million views, more than 99,000 likes and a comments section full of confused condolences as people question whether Marlene Benitez is really dead.
