A Plague Tale: Requiem’s First Gameplay Leaves Europe’s Shadows

At the Overnight Game Awards, we enjoyed a fresh look at A Plague Tale: Requiem. The new trailer offers plenty of gameplay footage, set in the sad poem, Requiem, by Robert Louis Stevenson.

Requiem is the sequel to A Plague Tale: Innocence, and takes place after the ending. We still play Amicia, and her brother Hugo, as they leave their home and venture into a new world.

Requiem also looks to be a gritty and dark story, although it will transport us to a more colorful world than the original game. The trailer shows Amicia on a ship heading South, so expect new places to visit and new situations that will sting your eyes.

Towards the end of the game, the stealth and combat systems seem to have expanded and we’ll be making even more types of stuff than in the original.

A Plague Tale: Requiem is coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S in 2022. The game will also launch in Game Pass for PC, console, and Cloud. Switch owners will also receive a cloud version. A Plague Tale: Requiem’s First Gameplay Leaves Europe’s Shadows
