A New York woman robs a stranger at a subway station during rush hour

A woman robbed a straphanger at knifepoint during rush hour Wednesday morning at a lower Manhattan subway station, police said.
According to the NYPD, the victim was on Platform 2/3 of the Fulton Street train station around 9:30 a.m. when the robber pointed a knife at her and stole the contents of her purse.
The suspect then ran away on Wednesday afternoon and landed in the wind, police said.
No further information was immediately available.
The robbery came the day after a 34-year-old woman was pushed onto the subway tracks by a stranger while waiting on platform 1/2/3 on Chambers Street.

Good Samaritans rescued the unsuspecting woman and dragged her off the tracks while her attacker fled.
It also follows a violent weekend on the city’s subway, during which a train driver was beaten by a whistle-wielding attacker and a subway driver was stabbed by a stranger.
