A-list megastar cancels film plans to attend King Charles’ coronation in May

ER is a notorious perfectionist when it comes to work, so not much stands in the way of Tom Cruise and his films.
Unless you are a member of the royal family.

Those close to the Hollywood superstar tell me he’s halting filming on the eighth installment in the spy franchise Mission: Impossible to attend the coronation on May 6th.
A source said: “Tom was invited to King Charles’ coronation and he would never have turned it down.
“It’s an extremely prestigious event and Tom is a true royalist – plus he’s now close with Prince William and Kate. Tom has told film bosses to halt production of Mission: Impossible over Coronation weekend to ensure he can attend.
“It shocked some people in the film as Tom is so true to his craft and would normally never stray from his intense production schedules.

“Big deal for Tom”
“But something as important – and grand – as King Charles’ coronation is something he doesn’t want to miss.
“It’s a big deal for Tom to be invited and he’s honored.”

I previously revealed how Tom Wills and Kate became so close that he gifted her a screening of Top Gun: Maverick.
They received a world-first preview of the film last March, and the trio reunited at the star-studded London premiere two months later.
Insiders said the three are so close now that Rain Man star Tom has even added her to his famous Christmas gift list.
Those lucky enough to make the list will be treated to Tom’s favorite coconut cake from an LA bakery, and in December I confirmed that Wills and Kate were getting a helping of the sweet treat for the first time since their friendship blossomed had.
Given that Tom is now on the VIP guest list for the coronation, I expect it won’t be long before Charles and his wife Camilla are treated to a helping of the £38 cake themselves.
Cam-on-in the water is delightful
CAMERON Diaz looked chic in a suit for her new Netflix film Back In Action.
My exclusive photos show the Hollywood beauty filming in London with co-star Jamie Foxx in the last few days.

In addition to stuntmen driving speedboats along the Thames, Cameron and Jamie were photographed filming scenes in which they attended a red carpet party at the Tate Modern with hundreds of other people.
And it appears the couple will remain in the capital for the foreseeable future, as residents around the Royal Victoria Dock have warned of a major stunt set to take place next month.
A letter to locals revealed the production would be staging two major stunts.
They said one of the spectacles involved a “stunt person riding a motorcycle from Docklands London to a barge and up a ramp before landing in the water”.
The second is a “30-foot blast” that will take off from the center of the dock – with residents taking front-row seats.

Cameron was cast on the project last year – after an eight-year hiatus from acting that many believed was permanent retirement.
This is Cameron’s third time working with Jamie, having previously starred in Any Given Day in 1999 before working on the 2014 film remake of Annie.
Jamie revealed he managed to get Cameron on board last June and got NFL star Tom Brady to convince her to be in the film.
Bey’s dates are sold out for five hours
BEYONCE sold more than 400,000 tickets in five hours yesterday as fans clamored for access to their Renaissance tour.
The Cuff It singer, who hasn’t done a solo tour here since 2016, added three more dates at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after the first two gigs sold out.

15
When tickets first went on sale at 10 a.m., more than half a million people lined up online.
Shows in Cardiff, Sunderland and Edinburgh sold out quickly, save for expensive VIP packages.
Unprecedented demand made it the fastest-selling tour in years here.
The tour’s massive stadium capacity means it even outperformed Madonna’s Celebration tour, which was also met with a huge rush for tickets when they went on sale last month.
Beyonce, who became the biggest Grammy winner in history on Sunday with 32 awards, will kick off the tour in Stockholm in May.
She will arrive in the UK a week later, with her five nights in London running from May 29th to June 4th.
But Destiny’s Child fans were faced with a difficult choice as their fourth show in north London takes place on June 3rd, the same day that Kelly Rowland’s headline was set at the Mighty Hoopla in south London.
That’s the dilemma.
Mick: The end of the Mac
MICK Fleetwood believes Fleetwood Mac are ‘done’ after the death of bandmate Christine McVie.
She passed away in November after a short illness and now the rock veteran has admitted he can’t continue the band.

Mick said: “I think at the moment, I really think the line has been drawn in the sand with the loss of Chris. I’d say we’re done, but we’ve all said that before.
“It’s kind of unthinkable at the moment.”
Due and Tove under one blanket
DUA Lipa shares her star power with Tove Lo.
The Future Nostalgia hitmaker co-wrote Tove’s new single ‘Borderline’ – out Friday.
Dua said of working on the track, “I’m so excited for it to come out into the world.”
Future Nostalgia made Dua a global icon.
If Borderline scores half as well, then Swedish star Tove is a winner.
Ellie is outside in the brown
IF I met this lady on the street, I would have to admit that I had no idea who she was.
But it’s actually Ellie Goulding who dyed her famous blonde tresses and got bangs for a completely different look.

She showed off the new hairdo during a visit to Radio 2 in London, ahead of the first of two special shows she was performing in the capital last night.
The Burn singer took to the stage at Koko nightclub to debut songs from her fifth album, Higher Than Heaven, which is due out March 24.
It was due to be released last Friday, but Ellie delayed the record to make changes, including adding a collaboration with Calvin Harris.
I’ll wait and see if the delay was worth it.
Touchy topic Maisie?
MAISIE Peters has more than one thorn in her side in her new music video — she’s covered in it.
The British singer-songwriter premiered the visuals for her latest single ‘Body Better’ last night and my exclusive still from the clip shows her looking more than a little prickly.

15
Maisie, who released her debut album You Signed Up For This in 2021 through Ed Sheeran’s record label Gingerbread Man, is gearing up to embark on a sold-out tour in April.
Then she is expected to release her untitled second album with the new single later in the year.
Demi’s slasher single
DEMI Lovato has come up with a frighteningly ambitious way to get back on the charts.
I can reveal that the former Disney star recorded the lead single for the soundtrack to the upcoming horror Scream VI.

15
The single is called “Still Alive” and is due out in the next few weeks, ahead of the film’s March 10 release.
Demi will no doubt be hoping the track gets her back in shape, as none of the singles from her 2022 album Holy Fvck have troubled the UK charts.
Lady Gaga and Rihanna have appeared on blockbuster soundtracks over the past year — and both have received Oscar nominations for Best Original Song.
Still Alive needs to be a real belter for Demi to repeat this success.
Claire raises the solo bid
STEPS star Claire Richards is going solo again after her success on The Masked Singer.
Claire, who was revealed to be Knitting on Saturday, said: “The Masked Singer definitely made me want to do more solo music.

15
“I’m working on an album right now. Hopefully that comes out sometime this year and I’ll be doing solo gigs all summer.
“Steps is on hiatus at the moment, so I’ll work on the music while we speak.”
