£93,000-a-week Tottenham player didn’t immediately respond to Conte’s demand
According to Football.London, Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte was not happy with defenders Pedro Porro and Ben Davies during Saturday afternoon’s Premier League game against Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium.
The report has noted that Tottenham head coach Conte got angry with them midway through the first half when Porro and Davies failed to swap positions on the pitch.
The Davies (SalarySport) in particular, who earns £93,000 a week, seemed to disregard Conte’s initial request to swap positions, but eventually the Welshman and Porro got it right, according to the report.
Tottenham could only manage a 3-3 draw against Southampton, which resulted in Conte unleashing an exceptional rant after the game.

Football.London wrote: “There was a point midway through the first half where Tottenham had Pedro Porro operated on at left-back and Ben Davies on the opposite side after defending a corner.
“With the ball not out of play for a few minutes, players continued to play in unnatural roles while waiting for a break in play to make changes.
“That never came and led to Conte angrily yelling at the couple to swap.
“Davies didn’t seem to want that at first when the ball was in play and Spurs had possession, but he was soon firing down the left flank when the head coach asked them to make an immediate switch.”

In our view, Tottenham Hotspur fans will be bitterly disappointed that the team failed to win against Southampton.
Yes, the Saints have shown some positive signs of late but that shouldn’t take away from the fact that they are one of the worst teams in the Premier League.
Southampton could well be relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.
And Tottenham couldn’t win against them.
Very disappointing.
