For much of 2021, the Covid-related mortality rate for those who received two doses of the vaccine remains lower than the same figure for those who were not vaccinated.

However, rates among those with double behavior began to rise late last year, rising from 92.0 deaths per 100,000 in October to 221.1 in November and 367.7 in December.

The study also showed that from July to December 2021, rates for those who received only one dose of the vaccine were similar to those among unvaccinated people, especially for older age groups. .

This could be due to the longer time since people received their first dose, which leads to a weakened ability to protect against previous vaccinations.

It could also be due to “exclusion of those who received the first and third doses but not the second dose from the analysis, because of incomplete immunization records,” the ONS added.
