$59K reward given to tip in Baltimore police officer shooting – CBS Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WJZ) – Authorities are offering a $59,000 reward for tips leading to the arrest and conviction of a suspect who ambushed and shot a Baltimore police officer Thursday.
Around 1:30 a.m., the unidentified officer was in her patrol car on Pennington Avenue in Curtis Bay when someone approached from behind and opened fire on the vehicle, Police Commissioner Baltimore, said Michael Harrison. Wounded multiple times, this officer was rushed by Traumatic Shock with life-threatening injuries.

Harrison and officials are expected to provide an update on the investigation into the officer’s shooting at about 5 p.m. Thursday.
In the meantime, police and federal agencies have issued financial rewards for information leading them to the officer’s gun. Tippers are eligible for a complete $59,000 bonus for tips that led to both arrest and conviction in the case.
