The 2022 NFL season is about to heat up after Super Bowl LVI, and like Chicago Bears fans have become familiar with, it’s the most exciting part of the year.

This is where Bears fans are allowed to put their hopes up the most, even if things didn’t go as planned last season. Many times, the season does not go as expected by the fans. But, this year feels different.

The Bears have their franchise quarterback in place with Justin Fields. It was something they could not say for sure for a long time. New general manager Ryan Poles and head coach Matt Eberflus have been busy building out their team, with a lot of focus on Fields.

Now, Poles and Eberflus can begin free agency availability, starting in mid-March. Now only about a month left.

Along with free agency and the 2022 NFL Draft, Ryan Poles and the Chicago Bears could make some moves through the trade.

Not only do we have free agency to look forward to, but it’s clear that draft season is approaching. However, part of the reason that hasn’t been talked about much is the opportunity for deals to happen.

Only with draft selection year this year, the Bears can certainly try to get more capital. On the other hand, there may be an opportunity to meet an important veteran through trading.

For the most part, Poles should focus on raising their draft capital as much as possible. There are a number of reasonable trades for the Poles to try and get out of, but the first one will really see the Bears put in more capital. 5 Trades the Chicago Bears Could Make Before Free Agency
