$300,000 in jewelry stolen with gun from south Sacramento store, owner says

A jewelry store owner south of Sacramento told KCRA 3 that armed gunmen nearly killed him. The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to KCRA 3 that robbers attacked that jewelry store on Florin Street Friday afternoon. At the request of the business owner, KCRA 3 did not disclose his name nor the name of the jewelry store. He told KCRA 3 that the suspects pointed weapons at him and stole almost everything in the store. He added that they only dropped a few items when they ran away. The owner also told KCRA 3 that he believes at least one of the suspects entered his store shortly before the robbery. The County Sheriff’s Office said detectives are still in the preliminary investigation stage. As of Friday night, they were still looking for suspects, calling it an “active and ongoing criminal investigation.” or the Media Center at 916-874-5115. The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to KCRA 3 that robbers attacked the jewelry store on Florin Street Friday afternoon. At the request of the business owner, KCRA 3 did not share his name or the name of the jewelry store.

The store owner said two people entered his store and stole jewelry worth about $300,000. He told KCRA 3 that the suspects pointed weapons at him and stole almost everything in the store. He added that they only dropped a few items while running away.

Everything is captured on camera – and the owner says the surveillance footage is being turned over to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office. Detectives do not want the video to be made public because they say it could hinder their investigation.

The owner also told KCRA 3 that he believes at least one of the suspects entered his store shortly before the robbery occurred.

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office said detectives are still in the preliminary stages of the investigation. As of Friday night, they were still looking for suspects, calling it an “active and ongoing criminal investigation.”
