3 injured in shooting and car crash in Annapolis, police say – CBS Baltimore

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WJZ) – Three people were injured Wednesday night after a shooting resulted in an accident on 665th Street in Annapolis, authorities said.
Annapolis police said officers searching for gunfire along Newtowne Drive around 8:40 p.m. found six vehicles and two apartments damaged by gunfire, but they found no signs of gunfire. one victim was shot.
Minutes later, an accident was reported on Route 665 near the High Speed Run.
It was there, police said, that 20-year-old Demontay Coney was found in Baltimore with a gunshot wound to the leg inside one of the vehicles. Coney said he was shot on Newtowne Drive.

Police said the 17-year-old driver of the vehicle Coney was driving was injured in the crash, as was the driver of a second vehicle involved in the wreckage. All three were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The shooting is still under investigation.
