3 injured by gunfire in Niagara Falls, 2 incidents linked by police

BUFFALO, NY (WIVB) — Three people were injured in separate shootings in Niagara Falls on Tuesday, with two of the shootings believed to be related, the Niagara Falls Police Department said.

At approximately 12:45 p.m., an 18-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to the thigh at the 1600 block of Weston Avenue. The teenager was taken to the ECMC for treatment.

Later Tuesday afternoon, two men were rushed to hospital one after the other within an hour with gunshot wounds, which police suspect are linked.

At 2:04 p.m., a 22-year-old man was hit by a bullet in the leg at the corner of 19th Street and Ashland Avenue. At 3:04 p.m., a 27-year-old man was hospitalized with a head injury that police believe occurred either at the scene of the same shooting “or a later report of shooting in the Center Ave and Aaron Griffon Way area.” had. said the police.

Both men were taken to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. The 22-year-old was not hospitalized. None of the injuries sustained appear to be life-threatening, police said.

The shootings are still being investigated by the authorities.
